The Picnic

We exited the hall. As I was walking with my two friends Stevie and Kobe to the beach we were talking about what we were going to do when we got there. "I am going to have a look around then play some games," I said.
When we got to there Mr Burt told us where we were allowed to go before he let us play. After Stevie Kobe put our bags down, we went to the beach to see all the new stuff, like the groyne and the new sand. We also saw kids collecting clay, making it into balls and then throwing it into the water. We got bored so we went to go and play games.
Some other people wanted to play with us so about ten minutes later there was almost ten of us. Passing the rugby ball around soon turned into a game. Stevie dodged around Joe, sprinted like a cheetah and dove for a try.


Not too interested in joining in the game, I went to the toilet. As soon as I got out I saw Richard. “Hey your auntie is looking for you” he said. 
“Where is she?” I asked. 
“ Over there,” replied, pointing at the trees.

I wandered over looking for her for a long time. Finally I found her by the big tree. She said “I was looking for you 

“I was looking for you too” I laughed. 

We went to the tree and ate some hot chips, pizza and had a cup of Just Juice. We started talking about our day when suddenly it started to rain. "Time to go back to school," Mr Burt announced. We had to get into our lines but luckily the rain lasted only for a short while.

As soon as we got to school we played on our net books for 45 minutes and went home I will never forget that day.

Chucking the ball up I hit it with the paddle, “Dink. Donk. Dink.” Missing the ball,  hitting the ball, the ball flying across the table, as my opponent and I rallied. Running to hit the ball I just got the score. Cheering and screaming “YES” as my opponent picked  up the ball to try to even the score. Hitting it, just missing the net he slammed it back.  “No” I yelled as I just missed it with the paddle. We started playing again, furiously hitting the ball with the paddle.

The Picnic

Do NOT post things until you think about what it is your posting. THis is because it's there FOREVER and you can’t take it down.If you post something without thinking long and hard about what your posting, anyone can see it even your parents.

Things that you post can hurt a lot of people so you should be careful of what you post.

When you go for a job people will look you up and they WILL see everything that you have posted on Facebook or Myspace.

You need to make sure you leave behind a positive online footprint. 
So remember, think before you post.

Cyber Smart

Without thinking Yoda posted a photo of herself on the Internet.She didn't care because she posted it under private so nobody that she didn't want to see it, could see it. After a few minutes the photo went viral, people start sharing it with friends, it spread. People started staring and glaring at her after school so she went and deleted it. But she couldn't, lots of people saw it. She said to herself "What if my parents see this, what about my grandparents." She felt ashamed.

The Beach

Standing still in the squishy sand as the wind thrusted strongly towards my shivering body, goose bumps climbed up my arms, and my chattering teeth were clinking together. The clouds were dim. I wrapped up tightly in my blanket waiting for the sun to shine.

Netbook Reflection

This year I have really liked having a Netbook to work on because instead of reading books and waiting to use the computer.Now we just open a new tab,type in what you want to know.Then click and you got all the information you need.

As much as I have loved having a Netbook there are some things that I haven’t liked like the network.Sometimes when your in a rush the network just disconnects.Then you have to wait till it connects again.It takes for ever to load.

Some advantages from having a netbook is editing.Here is a scenario your writing in your netbook and you make a mistake.You don’t have time to look in a dictionary just right click on the word and select the right word.Its as easy as that.

From time to time I find it hard to stay on task there is so much stuff you can do.It’s so tempting sometimes its so hard but you have to stay on task.I think this is the hardest thing to do.

If the Netbook Scheme failed and we had to return to paper and pencil my parents would be pretty angry.Think about it you pay over $300 for netbooks and now you can’t use them.Yeah some people have Internet but not everyone does it would just be sitting around getting dusty.

This is what I'm learning about all term no not slide shows planets.Like Earth,Saturn and Jupiter plus many more now enjoy this slide show that I have created for you.

My Badminton Sessions

YES! The next few weeks we get to have Badminton lessons, a professional is coming in to teach us how to play.I want to learn how to hold the racket, do trick shots and hit the shuttle as far as I can.I’m just so excited about the lessons it’s going to be great.

We walked down to the hall to meet the professional.When we walked in the hall there was another class, inside hitting shuttles in to a bin.When they finished it was our turn we went and sat on the floor.Then the woman who was teaching us told us to grab a racket and a shuttle.She showed us many skills and then we practiced them for a while then the lesson was over.

The following week went to Badminton again while we were there we stared to practice with a panther, we tried to hit it with each other using different skills.We did that with each other for a very long time then we practiced other things to.I can’t remember all of them but after many other activities before I knew it the lesson was over.Just before we left the woman told us she won’t be here next time but someone else will then we left.

The week after that we went for our weekly lesson of Badminton. When we walked in a lady was there teaching.The new lady went over the basics with us.After we did many activities for the last activity she brought out two nets, we had to divide ourselves into two teams.There are two teams each team has two players, each time one person misses the shuttle they go to the back of the line.I had about 4 tries its pretty hard and a few minutes later the lesson finished and we went.

The last lessons was awesome I can’t wait till the next one.I just want to get as good as I can at Badminton.If I keep practicing I will get as good as the Badminton teacher.

My Best Weekend So Far

Yes its the weekend again I'm so happy now I can sleep in and go get my phone.I hope this weekend is like my last weekend, because my last weekend was awesome.

Yes today I'm going to go and get my phone.We had to go down to Glen Innes and get it.To get there my mother and I had to catch the bus when we got there, we had to walk to the shop to get my phone.When we got there we had to pay about 60 dollars to get the phone out.After that we started to walk home.

On the way home we went into a shop to look around.While we were looking around I saw some games, my mum said she would by me some games but only two games she said.The two games I choose were Motor Storm Pacific Rift and TNA impact.When I got home I went to play the game but it tuned out that TNA impact didn't work that was kind of a let down.

For the rest of the holidays I played Motor Storm Pacific Rift, where I live I the best at it.When I got bored of that I started to watch movies It was a great holiday, and I loved it.

With excitement I couldn't believe It's the holidays.I just can’t believe it I don’t know what I'm going to do for the holidays.Maybe I will sleep or go Rainbows End I just don't know whats going to happen.

This morning my parent’s told me were going to the movies to watch Kung Fu Panda, it was a awesome movie but I think Kung Fu Panda 1 was better.With our movie we had some popcorn,drinks and ice cream, It was perfect to sit back and relax on that soft chair.
I slept through most of it so its just like I never watched I before.

The day after that my family and I went bowling I got lots of strikes it but my cousin got more.As soon as we finished the game of bowling we went and played some game with tokens.After our tokens ran out my mum told us to come over and had some nachos.When my family and I arrived home we put on a movie to pass the time.The movie was called Iron Man 2 it’s full of action and excitement it was awesome.

For the rest of the holidays I slept and slept and slept because I was very tired.From my great Holiday and all the excitement.

My weekend

YES!It’s finally the weekend.I'm going to have so much fun.It’s going to be amazing to do such exciting things,If you haven't noticed I'm happy.


On the first day of the weekend my cousin came, we did not have enough room for him in the house.So we made him a room
under the house.It was hard work, my dad and I had to put wood up to act like walls.Then we put a mattress for his bed to sleep on, now everyone lives under the house it's kind of neat.


The next day my parents got paid so we went to the movies to watch X-Men First Class it was a awesome movie.While my family watched the movie we each had some Popcorn,Ice cream and a drink.After we had some Mc Donald's for lunch it was a very delicious meal.


During the last day I watched movies and played video games all day and all night.I hope I have a weekend like that again.

My Grandmothers Birthday

Not so long ago My family had a party,the party was for my grand mothers birthday she turned 70 years old.She waned to celebrate her birthday with a party. For my grandmothers birthday party my parents had to go shopping for food that we were going to cook on the barbecue,and some vegetable’s to make salads.After that my parents had to find a place to host the party it was either my parents house or my grand mothers house.we picked our house because we have a garage witch would be great because we won’t get wet if it rained. A few hours later when people started arriving at the party My uncle,dad and I started up the barbecue, while my mum and her friends did the salads for the feast.As soon as the food was cooked and the salads were finished people dashed towards the,food in a matter of seconds most of the food was gone.As soon as everyone went away from the food I covered it and put in the fridge.Then we put out some dessert for people to eat eat it was Pavlova and ice cream.After all the food was gone people started to leave and the party ended. Not long after the party ended we went outside it was a absolute mess.My parent’s put back all the chairs and tables and I picked up all the rubbish.While I cleaned up the rubbish my cousin came back from his rugby game,he was covered in mud and when he came inside he made a trail of dirt into the bathroom.Lucky for my cousin we saved him something eat.When my cousin opened the bathroom door steam fogged up the house,he rushed to the kitchen because he could smell the delicious aroma of the food my parents cooked for him. Then we walked inside to watch my grandmother cut the cake.After she cut the cake she came out and said “That was the greatest birthday I've ever had” then she walked inside and went to sleep.

Great Times With Tamaki College!

Recently, I had the opportunity to go to Tamaki College and do some activities with the Year 12 students. They took their valuable time and showed us some interesting games. Even though we were considerably younger, they made us feel important. Some of my favourite things that we did were... statues, bullrush and basketball. My absolute favourite, was when we had to search for letters to spell out a sentence. We didn't win, but it was still a great game.When we met for our last session, we were surprised with a gift of delicious treats. It was a thoughtful gesture, and the treats were tasty! I had an incredibly awesome time with these guys, and I hope we are able to meet again sometime in the future.
